IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING THE CLOSURE OR\AND SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENT OF UKRAINIAN CARGO RAILWAY STATIONS DURING 2018/19 HARVEST SEASON
This year (2018) UkrZaliznytsya (State owned National operator of Ukrainian Railway Infrastructure hereinafter referred to as UZ) is restructuring the distribution of rolling stock (wagons & grain hoppers ) during peak loadings periods of export. There has been a lot of controversy and speculation about the feasibility and justification for stopping the service of at least 60 railway cargo stations that historically shipped a certain amount of agricultural products (predominantly grain) . We have studied the actual data in detail, and now provide detailed information about EVERY UKRAINIAN ELEVATOR with rail logistics.
Accordingly, based on preliminary estimates of UZ, we have formed 5 GROUPS OF RISK of railway stations and elevators that use it. The risk groups are distributed on the basis of the probability of closure and a new mechanism for servicing UZ of these stations in 2018 (season 2018 \ 19). The basic information was obtained from open sources according to the data of the UZ (KPI of the efficiency of the cargo stations operation) (https://www.uz.gov.ua/), and subsequently processed and presented in convenient ways on the page of each silo on the interactive map.
